Heavy rainfall in Eastern Kentucky beginning February 15, 2025 has resulted in severe flooding throughout the region, with additional precipitation and hazardous conditions expected throughout the week. Rivers have overflown drastically, leading to widespread power outages, displacement, and multiple reported fatalities. The following nonprofits are providing relief in the form of food, shelter, clothing, supplies, and long-term recovery assessment. A series of severe tornadoes and storms swept through multiple southern and midwestern states on the weekend of March 15, 2025. Dozens of fatalities have been reported, along with hundreds of people and families who are facing displacement from their homes and extensive damage to businesses and infrastructure. Excessive winds, in combination with dry conditions, also resulted in multiple wildfires and dust storms across various communities.
