The Museum of Jewish Heritage – A Living Memorial to the Holocaust is New York’s contribution to the global responsibility to never forget. Our mission is to educate people of all ages and backgrounds about the broad tapestry of Jewish life before, during, and after the Holocaust. Our collections contain almost 40,000 objects, photographs, documentary films, and survivor testimonies. Anchored by a 12,000 square foot-core exhibition, the Museum also contains special exhibition galleries, four classrooms, a 375-seat theater, an educator resource center, and a memorial art installation, Garden of Stones, designed by the internationally acclaimed sculptor Andy Goldsworth. The Museum also includes JewishGen, the global home for Jewish genealogy.
